Quality Public Services (QPS) Campaigning continues with the ASU working with other unions, affiliates, peak state Union arms, and others. Some recent activities have included -
· Linking Quality Public Services to Climate Changing actions.
· Back ground materials and advice.
· Working with international unions and others including international transport workers and Public Services International.
· Public Water and Local Government
· Changing Federal Government Policies to recognize public service contributions to climate change actions.
· Highlighting the links with contracting out, privatisation and private public partnerships : multi-nationals & private sector participants lowering the standard of public services.
· PSIRU Seminar Sydney - Public Services International Research Unit Professor Hall Greenwich University London to brief Unions NSW affiliates and ASU Branches
· Linking campaigns and outcomes across the ASU industries to quality community outcomes (note ASU has had an ongoing Quality Public Services Campaign for a number of years – see ASU website).
