the ASU assistance in completing of the project. As mentioned previously, this
project covered the underground mapping of cables and pipes etc to build a national
standard – this is an area ASU members work, with the ASU being known as the
main union for Mapping and Geographical Officers and one we should feel proud to be involved
in , there is no doubt that the project will increase the professional standards
and recognition of ASU members , but as safety issue it will save many , many lives
over the years to come .
