2nd National Joint ISC meeting, in Canberra

Recently I attend the  2nd National Joint ISC meeting, in Canberra The form was attended by all ISC’s and I would think most of the ISC directors , Ministers,  and related industry players

The day was very useful for local government and an opportunity for great cross ISC discussion, and a good update on the critical skills shortages, in various employment areas for local government some good messages around our key areas of skills shortages including our local government trades, and trade based qualifications and other classifications affected directly and indirectly by the mining industry, and other related pressures etc.  (if you don’t know we are continuing to receive requests for 457 visa applications in both trade and parra professional qualifications that are trade (VET) based in local government ),.

Thus yesterday’s commitments by all ISC’s around the compact was appreciated and great to see , plus of course the presentations I’ll try to locate and pass on) including the quality links, Asian white paper , and related presentations . I hope a number of the issues could be factored into our future strategic planning, including the various needs of our sectors, and the cross ISC LG industry work .

Again great day the ISC’s need to be congratulated on this joint action
